Tame your tresses
The summer season hits us with hair challenges. With Australian weather oscillating between hot, dry and muggy, keeping our locks in check can be tricky. Go natural, advises Kenneth Stoddart, Priceline Pharmacy Hair Director. “An easy way to manage and update your look for summer is to cut it shorter and wear it in a more natural style. If your natural texture can’t be controlled with product then try using a heat protecting spray and wind the mid-lengths of your hair around a curling wand, just enough to give a kink halfway down the section. Alternate directions of each section for a more undone look. Finally, apply some finishing cream to add definition and finish with a spritz of texturizing spray.” He also recommends a high retro ponytail for simple summer styling. “It’s one tried and tested style which braves most weather conditions. Add soft waves to hair with tongs and brush through. Then pull the hair back off your face into a high ponytail and secure with a hair tie,” he explains.
