MISS KOPP JUST WON’T QUIT

- by Amy Stewart, Scribe

Constance Kopp is based on one of America’s first female deputy sheriffs and, with her two rambunctious sisters, is a girl power heroine you can’t help but love. In 1916 she becomes embroiled in a local election with echoes of current times. She is transporting a woman to an insane asylum who has been committed by her husband, an action that always coincides with his girlfriend appearing on the scene. Meanwhile, the election is taking a nasty turn as “a man who does nothing but cast out hate” is heading for the top job. Sound familiar?
