Mike Willesee – father of six; at one time or another, husband to three; and for 50 years one of Australia’s most respected journalists – lost his battle with cancer on March 1 at the age of 76. Transcending his role as reporter to become as famous as many of the big names he interrogated, he found fame in the 1960s on This Day Tonight and Four Corners.
