TRANSFORMATIONS by Vanessa Finney, NewSouth

The Scott sisters lived in colonial Sydney and trained as naturalists and artists on the isolated Ash Island near Newcastle, NSW. With their collecting boxes, notebooks and paintbrushes, Harriet and Helena became the most prominent Aussie female natural history painters of the 19th century, recording Australian butterflies and moths. This beautiful book includes their stunning artwork, correspondence and manuscripts and will take your breath away.
