Gillian has spent most of her life on the land – and wouldn’t have it any other way. Growing up on her family property called Broome, Gillian spent a decade away as a young woman, returning in 1976 as a widow with three young children. Her widowed mother and a business partner were managing the 31-yearold shorthorn stud. “I love the land,” she says. “I’m lucky here because I live in nature and it’s a wonderful way to bring up free and happy children.”
