OILS AND VINEGARS: Extra virgin olive oil and sesame oil, plus rice wine, white wine and apple cider vinegars.

GRAINS AND SEEDS: Microwave rice and blends (these are great for cutting down on cook and prep times), arborio rice, sesame seeds and pepitas.

PASTA AND NOODLES: Risoni, couscous and noodles.

NUTS AND DRIED FRUIT: Cashews, almonds, macadamias, pistachios, walnuts and peanuts, plus raisins, apricots and cranberrie­s.

SPICES AND DRIED HERBS: Paprika, chilli, cumin, Moroccan spice mix (an instant flavour maker!), Italian herbs, oregano and thyme.

STOCKS: Chicken, beef and vegetable.

VEGETABLES AND LEGUMES: Dried lentils, plus canned chickpeas, cannellini beans and tomatoes.

SAUCES AND SYRUPS: Soy sauce, rice malt and maple syrup, plus harissa and chipotle (for a fiery kick!).

OTHER ESSENTIALS: Cornflour, coconut milk, Indian and Thai curry pastes, fresh/dried breadcrumb­s, and assorted breads.
