The beat rolls on Drummer Charlie Watts, who was the beating heart of one of the greatest rock groups of our time, has died aged 80. The Rolling Stones drummer was known to his bandmates as their “engine”. Rock royalty including Elton John, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr paid tribute to the giant of rock and roll.
