LOOKING OUT FOR YOU

-

The core value of “others before self” is threaded throughout the business at different levels – lived through concrete action rather than mere words. Since its founding in 1978, the La Trobe Financial Charitable Foundation has donated more than $16.5 million to community initiatives, including worthwhile projects in the fields of healthcare, education, culture and sport. Most recently, La Trobe Financial made up to a $1 million donation for customers to access funds that were affected by the floods, and donated a further $1 million to Epworth HealthCare in Melbourne to assist with critical care and ICU, helping in the battle against COVID-19. “Australians have a proud record of supporting each other,” says President and CEO Greg O’Neill OAM. “We will do everything we can to help our customers through this challenging time.” On a personal level, all staff are encouraged to work two days a year for a charity such as Lifeline, The Salvation Army or the Cancer Council. “The thing that I’m really proud of is that all the staff believe in what we’re doing,” Greg says. “That the ‘others before self’ principle is alive and well at La Trobe Financial, and we share it with our customers every day.”
