Drama has its day
AUSTRALIAN-MADE television drama Offspring has made the Top 10 most-watched shows for the first time this season.
The Network Ten series drew 847,000 viewers on the OzTAM overnight ratings to be 10th overall on Wednesday.
It may be the highest finish for Offspring, which stars Gold Logie winner Asher Keddie, but it’s not the biggest audience it has drawn this year.
The fourth season of Offspring launched on May 23 with 868,000 viewers but had to settle for 12th overall.
The series, which has a loyal fan base, has already been commissioned for a fifth season, with production starting later this year.
Nine News won the evening with 1.380 million viewers ahead of reality renovation show The Block Sky High, which drew an audience of 1.367 million.
