When live baiting for barramundi what baits do you recommend? The recommended bait to target barramundi is dependant on the location and structure you are fishing. In the saltwater it is hard to beat large live prawns fished under a float just above the structure. Live mullet are also top baits if fishing the bottom is possible without continual snagging. In the freshwater live cherabin are excellent under a float in the snags while barras are also partial to a live mud cod.
