CAIRNS TO TULLY

-

Fishing has been very quiet due to the conditions on the water with strong winds and rain. The rivers and estuaries are seeing a few grunter and whiting being caught by the bait fishermen. A slight easing in the conditions may allow some boats to target the mackerel and bottom fish that have been in good numbers when access is possible. A few barras have been caught on live mud cod in the freshwater sections of the rivers. Tarpon have also been plentiful in the brackish water up to the fresh.
