DAINTREE TO COOKTOWN

-

Atrocious weather conditions over the Cooktown Discovery Festival long weekend and early this week has seen very little fishing activity. A few quality barras are being caught off the main Cooktown Wharf with good numbers of pike and sardines attracting them to the structure. The Annan River continues to produce queenfish which have moved up to the old bridge area. A few jacks are being caught in the Endeavour River around the snags on live prawns and mullet. Mud crabs in reasonable numbers on the running tides.
