BEACHES TO DAINTREE

Reef fishing has been impossible due to very strong winds and wild seas again. The upper reaches of the Daintree is producing a few small barra and tarpon on lures. The live baiters are catching a few jacks in the estuaries along with fingermark and the occasional barra. Quality barramundi were caught by those fishing the fresh over the long weekend in various remote bush locations. Both soft plastic lures and live cherabin proved to be the most successful.
