COACHES’ PREDICTIONS
Stacey Fittock —
Leichhardt
I think Stratford will badly miss Michael Van Hooren through suspension. But, in saying that they still have the players’ in his absence to score goals. Wayne Srhoj is the best player in the league
and given no side has been able to stop him yet this season I would imagine neither the pitch or Stratford will be able to do so in this
grand final. Mareeba to win in a
very close game.
John Dillon — Edge Hill
I think Stratford will score the first goal inside 20 minutes but Mareeba will get one back for a 1-1 scoreline at
halftime. The second half will be tight, but Mareeba will score two goals in the last 20 minutes to ultimately come home winners. I think Mareeba will
win 3-1. Adrian Favero —
Innisfail Mareeba’s experience will be the difference. They are a
wellbalanced team with big game players in Wayne Shroj, Victor
Madrid and Alex Plowman. But, football is a funny game. Stratford are a team that plays with momentum and have a good forward
line. Mareeba will win by
two goals.
Alastair Yeabsley —
Marlin Coast
It will be a very close
game. Both sides - although
with different styles - are very strong defensively and have
great attacking potential. Mareeba probably has more threats and are able to score from more areas. However, if guys like Joe (Rusch) are on song for Stratford I could see the trophy heading home with the Dolphins. It will be a
tight game.
Mareeba to win 3-1.
