CAIRNS restaurateurs David Calcagno and James McLean are moving on after placing their signature Italian and seafood restaurant Bellocale on the market.
Bruce Barclay of Barrier Reef Business Brokers said the Shields St eatery was “discreetly tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the Cairns Esplanade” with seating capacity of up to 60.
“Bellocale provides the option of casual outdoor dining or a more intimate inside selection,” Mr Barclay said.

“David has also been instrumental in providing a wide selection of interesting Australian and Italian wines.

Mr Barclay said domestic and international airport passenger numbers were growing and the falling Australian dollar was auguring well for the future of the region. He said the business included a quality fitout with all plant and equipment in excellent condition.
