SUNSHINE COAST V GWS GIANTS

-

SATURDAY 7PM this year, too, but you have to expect mishaps along the way and overcome them.

“You don’t have to have the perfect season to have the perfect outcome.”

Langman and Lightning coach Noeline Taurua have a long association from their Magic days and the relentless midcourter said the tactical mastermind was the main reason behind the Sunshine Coast’s success.

“I’ve always been a fan of Noels and her visionary leadership and her licence that she gives players to take ownership of their role on court,’’ Langman said.

“She knows how the group dynamic operates and has done an outstanding job.

“We now get the chance to write our own story this weekend after starting from ground zero. We control the ending and that’s hugely exciting and hugely down to the great leadership we’ve been blessed with.’’ SHARKS will be out to cement their spot in the Cairns Netball Association top two tonight as they host Leprechauns.

Sharks were at their best on Friday evening as they smashed Centrals Trinity Beach Bulldogs to the tune of 63-37 in their week 6 game.

They jumped to a 15-6 in the first quarter and never looked back with Sharks coach Jennie Kumar pleased with the squad’s performance.

“They all played well,” Kumar said.

“Our goal shooter Georgia O’Donnell was a standout while Heidi Wilson had a great game at goal defence.

“We got a nice lead early on and we just kept rolling on after that.”

In the other game on Friday evening, South Cairns Cutters were forced to forfeit against ladder-leaders Cairns Saints due to a lack of players.

With the Marlin Coast Marlins playing their QSNL Division 2 finals match against Brisbane West Lions this Saturday in Brisbane, week 7 matches have been switched from Friday to tonight.

Sharks will be keen to keep their good fortune flowing against Leprechauns while Bulldogs and Cutters will be looking to put a disappointing week behind them with a win. really
