Tool store finds ideal location

A “100 per cent Queenslandowned” retailer is about to open its doors in Cairns.

TradeTools director Greg Ford said he was delighted the company had “secured a great site to open their 18th location in Queensland”.

TradeTools operates stores at Tweed Heads, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and as far north as Bundaberg.

After a long search for a suitable site in Cairns, Mr Ford confirmed buying 96-102 Mulgrave Rd, Parramatta Park.

“TradeTools is 100 per cent Queensland-owned, we sell all the major brands and proudly sell our own brand of Renegade Industrial tools which is very popular with tradesmen and home users,” he said.

“The site at Mulgrave Rd is perfect for us as it offers easy access for customers and offers great branding and exposure for TradeTools.”

Knight Frank selling agents Matt Carless and John Lynch said Mr Ford and his team had looked at several sites in the area.

“They kept coming back to this one because of the location, size and street presence,” Mr Carless said.

“TradeTools have purchased two buildings over five lots.

“This gives them a great storage and warehouse area with off-street parking, as well as the retail site formerly occupied by Ray’s Outdoors to operate as the showroom and retail store.

“It’s always encouraging to see a new business set up in Cairns. TradeTools is the latest of new businesses to Cairns which suggests confidence the economy will continue to grow.”

TradeTools’ Cairns store is expected to open by the end of the year.
