Enjoy the fiesta spirit

POPULAR restaurant and bar Green Ant Cantina will celebrate Cinco De Mayo on Saturday, May 5.

The day itself honours the Mexican army’s unlikely victory over the French empire at the Battle of Puebla.

The street party-style festival will feature Latin music, a barbecue, plenty of Mexican food including nachos, fajitas and tacos, tequila, margaritas and mojitos, a photo booth, face painting and games and prizes.

The festivities kick off from 4pm. DJs will play from 8pm through to midnight. Families are welcome. Under18s are invited with parents and guardians until 10pm.

Green Ant Cantina is on Bunda St, opposite Cairns Central.
