DAINTREE TO COOKTOWN

-

Solid schools of sardines have formed around the main Cooktown Wharf attracting predators including spanish mackerel, queenfish, trevally and barramundi. Locals have been landing solid fish live baiting from the jetty. Fingermark, mangrove jacks and barra have also been caught in the snags of the Endeavour River on live sardines. Barra, jacks and trevally are also still taking cast lures over the weed beds of the Daintree River. Contact: Tackle World, Cooktown ph.4069 6655/ Cooktown Barra Charters ph. 0408 036 887
