New tool increases profits to hoteliers
CAIRNS pub and hotel owners have a new tool at their disposal to help lower waste and increase profits.
The beverage audit system by Ice & Beverage Solutions will allow time-poor venue owners and operators to see within minutes a snapshot of where they can increase their annual profit.
Cairns Queensland Hotels Association members met for their annual licensee meeting yesterday at the Bungalow Hotel where IBS director Paul Jones introduced the new profitability tool.
“We have been providing beverage solutions for 15 years, nationwide,” he said. “Overwhelmingly we find Queensland venues have a ‘giant sleeping profit’ within their beverages. While the majority of Northern Queensland venues are doing it tough at the moment, we can show them some relief within their post mix and beverage systems.”
In addition to identifying where profit streams can be activated, equipment and system solutions can also reduce energy consumption, alleviating exorbitant electricity bills.
“Some venues can profit up to $20,000 in their beverages alone, however our Post Mix and Beer System Solutions also enable lower operating and maintenance costs by reducing energy consumption,” Mr Jones said.
“Cairns is alive with construction within the hotel industry and it is important to ensure new and remodelled venues are aware of the latest in beverage systems to ensure viability of their businesses.”
