Heritage Gardens Retirement Village in Cairns. the large pool that our granddaughter just loves.

“While my wife and I are the ‘young ones’ on the block, we could not ask for a nicer place to live.”

Heritage Gardens is the perfect place to relax and its location adds to its appeal.

“Stockland is across the road, The Barr St Markets with a huge chemist shop, doctors and even a restaurant are all next door.

“The city is a short drive away, as is the airport.

“We can walk to Cannon Park, Cazalys or the shops, and churches are also close by.”

Set in award-winning tropical gardens, the village is spread over more than a hectare, and includes 51 independent living villas and apartments.

“Yes it is beautiful. Those majestic raintrees take pride of place and just capture your attention,” Tony said. KEEPING people mobile, active and independent is a central aim of the team from Walk on Wheels Cairns.

A local mobility solutions provider with more than 16 years of combined experience, the team is well placed to assist you in staying active and mobile.

Cairns manager Jade Boxall has a real passion for helping others, be it for just a friendly chat or advice about mobility needs.

“I love helping the community, especially seeing customers leave with a mobility product THURSDAY NOVEMBER 8 2018 that they didn’t know about, that will in the long term help them stay independent,” Jade said.

Along with a growing range of mobility products, including lift and recline chairs, they also stock a range of everyday items for hire.

“If you are recovering from an operation or planning some interstate travel and could benefit from a wheelchair, we would be only too happy to help you or a family member,” she said.

Walk on Wheels Cairns is part of a wider network of stores that started as small independent CAIRNSPOST.COM.AU outlets working in local communities.

“We came together under the one umbrella so we could better serve the local community,” Jade explained. “Our network of 16 stores work together with our partners to make sure all the communities we operate in, can get access to mobility solutions at a price that suits them.”
