Ms Cook was given four hours with a model to complete a look, which was judged on the choice of colour, how it looks with the model’s clothes, and the overall fashionability of the look.
As one of three finalists from Queensland and the sole Cairns representative, she could go on to represent the region at the world championships in Paris.
“If I have even the tiniest chance to get through to the worldwide stage, it would be a complete game changer,” she said.
Ms Cook will attend the national finals in Melbourne, on February 25.
