Film’s out of this world
WHAT better place to view a space movie, than under a starry night?
Starry Night Cinema is bringing the mindbending movie 2001: A
Space Odyssey to Cairns Botanic Gardens in two weeks.
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Stanley Kubrick’s landmark 1968 epic, which pushed the limits of narrative and special effects toward a meditation on technology and humanity.
Based on Arthur C. Clarke’s story The
Sentinel, the film is not only a journey through outer space, but also a journey through cinematic space.
The movie is being screened at Cairns Botanic Gardens on Wednesday, November 21 from 7pm to 9pm. Tickets can be bought at the door.
