There’s an excellent reason why the Windy Hill turbine fire will cause “no interruption to electricity supply” (CP, 15/11). On calm nights all of Queensland, and parts of NSW, VIC and SA, are powered by abundant clean coal (with a dash of gas and hydro). Wind and solar aren’t necessary.
