TULLY TO HINCHINBROOK

-

Inshore reef fishing has seen coral trout move into deeper water drop-offs, caught along with red-throat emperor. Deep rubble patches have produced nannygai, cobia and trevally mostly at night. The Family Group Islands is producing grey mackerel and spanish mackerel. Estuary fishing has seen mangrove jacks dominate on minnow lures in the snags of rivers and Hinchinbrook Channel. Flathead and queenfish are being caught around the southern creek mouth sandbars. Contact: Tackle World, Tully, ph 4068 1604.
