RIBBONS TOURNAMENT A GREAT SUCCESS

ANOTHER successful and enjoyable Ladies Ribbons Game Fishing Tournament was held last weekend with 25 boats and 80 anglers competing including 4 juniors and 12 out of town anglers.

The main catch for the girls were spanish mackerel and dolphin fish (mahi-mahi) trolling the outer reef edges along with one tagged black marlin.

Di Hance on Panawonica took out the highest individual point scoring game fish with a 19.4kg spanish mackerel.

Suzanne Sharne (Champion Senior Angler) on Black Label tagged and released the only billfish with the boat also taking out Champion team over eight metres.

Ella Woolcott took out champion junior angler on Saamayzen, Victoria Bartlett on Black Magic took out the highest total point scoring game fish section and Champion Team under eight metres were the girls on Aurora.
