Pedestrian injured

A PERSON was taken to Cairns Hospital after a car collided with a pedestrian yesterday. The accident happened on the Captain Cook Highway at Wangetti about 4pm. The pedestrian was taken to hospital in a stable condition, suffering from leg and back injuries. Nobody else was significantly injured during the incident.
