CASSOWARY COAST

Garden mulch

-

FREE garden mulch is available to all Cassowary Coast residents at the council’s waste transfer stations. The mulch is available free of charge to householders who load their own trailers or utes. If a machine is available, station staff can load the mulch at a cost of $5 a cubic metre. Commercial operators may procure mulch for $5 a cubic metre plus a small loading fee. The mulch can be obtained at the council’s waste transfer stations at Mission Beach, Hull Heads, Tully, Stoters Hill at Innisfail, Cardwell, and Bells Creek. Cr Jeff Baines said the free mulch offer was “recycling at its best”. Go to www.cassowarycoast.qld.gov.au
