Art contest extended
YOUNG Queensland artists are being urged to design the artwork for Queensland Youth Week 2019 following an extension to the QYW artwork competition closing date.
Youth Minister Di Farmer (above) said competition entrants now had until January 25 to submit their design around the 2019 theme of “unlimited”.
“The theme really sums up who young Queenslanders are, and the value young people bring to our communities,” she said.
“We’re looking for entries that capture that idea of unlimited potential, of looking to the future and seeing limitless possibilities.
“Whether you’re still at school, or a young person in the workforce, we want you to get creative and show us what you can do.”
The winner will receive a $500 Visa card and a Sony camera valued at $499. Two runners-up will each receive a $100 JB Hi-Fi gift voucher.
