YOUNG Queens­land artists are be­ing urged to de­sign the art­work for Queens­land Youth Week 2019 fol­low­ing an ex­ten­sion to the QYW art­work com­pe­ti­tion clos­ing date.

Youth Min­is­ter Di Farmer (above) said com­pe­ti­tion en­trants now had un­til Jan­uary 25 to sub­mit their de­sign around the 2019 theme of “un­lim­ited”.

“The theme really sums up who young Queens­lan­ders are, and the value young peo­ple bring to our com­mu­ni­ties,” she said.

“We’re look­ing for en­tries that cap­ture that idea of un­lim­ited po­ten­tial, of look­ing to the fu­ture and see­ing lim­it­less pos­si­bil­i­ties.

“Whether you’re still at school, or a young per­son in the work­force, we want you to get cre­ative and show us what you can do.”

The win­ner will re­ceive a $500 Visa card and a Sony cam­era val­ued at $499. Two run­ners-up will each re­ceive a $100 JB Hi-Fi gift voucher.
