U18 boys come fifth

THE Cairns division one boys team finished fifth at the under18 basketball state championships after defeating the Gold Coast Waves. They defeated Gold Coast in the fifth and sixth place playoff. “Cairns wanted it a bit more than us,” Gold Coast coach Jimmy Williams said.
