KELLY’S NEW DIRECTION

TAIPANS coach Mike Kelly slipped out a bit of news on Friday night after the win in Perth.

“Truthfully, the players had some freedom at the beginning of the season, not that we have taken away their freedom, but tried to funnel them and give them more direction,” Kelly said.

“We have got some young guys that lead this team; Melo and Devon are both 23. They just needed a bit more direction and they have taken that well.”
