Scholarships open for undergraduates

THERE are two weeks left to apply for the 2019 Rural Bank Scholarship Program.

The $5000 scholarship, open to first-time undergraduate students from rural and regional areas, encourages the next generation of leaders to undertake tertiary education and kick start their career in their chosen field.

The expanded 2019 protreatment gram of up to 25 scholarships, will see additional support for students from drought affected areas.

Ten dedicated scholarships will be awarded to those experiencing increased hardship due to seasonal conditions hindering the family budget.

Rural Bank is committed to continuing to support rural and regional students — ensuring the opportunity to undertake further study expands to all students across regional and rural Australia.

Scholarship recipients will receive financial support for the first year of their studies to contribute to the costs of accommodation, living expenses, travel and. course materials. Subject to academic performance, the scholarship funding may be extended to support their second year of study.

Rural Bank has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited since 2010.
