Bill Shorten’s electric car plan. Did he mention that if just one in five households had an electric car the neighbourhood electricity transformers and substations would need further upgrades, beyond those already done to accommodate household solar? Who pays for that? Everyone does. What a stupid idea. Sparky, Kamerunga
The Mayor said nothing when Labor’s funding of CBD upgrade and Valcano was withdrawn by Can-do Newman. They said nothing when Leichhardt missed out for years due to lazy Entsch. But they always rip into state Labor despite them funding Smithfield bypass, $300m + for dredging and millions more for CPAC.
Now Entsch is in danger, the feds are promising the world. They gave us nothing when Leichhardt was a safe seat. Trevor, Park Ridge
In the words of Charley Pride this week at CPAC: “Nice theatre but why didn’t they build it a bit bigger?“Robbo, Gordonvale
Seriously Andre and Matt, why would you even try a Maccas burger of any kind? They are not real anything. If you want to travel to Mt Garnet the roadhouse has the best burgers ever. Beth, Kanimbla
Dear Retiree, Cairns. The government is still paying off Labor’s debt. Labor only knows spend, spend, spend. Waste, waste, waste. Labor-Green alliance will plunge Australia into more if elected. Worse than terrorists/extremists for the country. David, Holloways Beach
Cr Manning doesn’t want compulsory voting. Well Bob we don’t want your rip-off Sunday parking fees either but you still force them on us. So suck it up. Fred, Mareeba
Once convicted of burglary or car theft the offender should be banned from private vehicles for at least five years. These maggots don’t take a Sunbus to their target. They move in gangs in private cars. Shouldn’t be too difficult. John Gerhardt, Port Douglas
