Burnouts in memoriam

CAIRNS Speedway is hosting its first competition for the year next weekend.

The NQ Burnouts Memorial Comp will remember those who are no longer with the local motorsport community.

The tradition will continue as the best burnout of the night will receive the Scotty Joseph Memorial Trophy, as has happened for the past 12 years, remembering Scotty’s love of burnouts.

There will also be four classes on the day, including opens, 8-cyclinder, 6cyclinder, and ladies class.

Prize money is on offer for first, second and third places.

The comp will be held on Saturday, April 13 from 2pm 10pm at the Cairns International Speedway, Fisherman Rd.
