GENERAL AND UPCOMING EVENTS Cairns Disability Network The Cairns Disability Network meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month, at RSL the Esplanade in Cairns. New members welcome. The club would like to hear about work in the transition to education and employment for people with disability in the Cairns region. Attendance is free and food and drink is available for purchase. Cairns Tours and Attractions For Guests with a disability Cairns stands proud in offering a wide variety of things to do and see in Cairns for those of all ages including guests that may be handicapped or have limited mobility or even totally disabled. Tours include Great Barrier Reef tours, scenic flights, the Kuranda Railway and Skyrail, Daintree rainforest tours and even adrenalin activities. Project Ability ARC Disability services will be presenting interactive activities and stalls at the Cairns Esplanade East Events Lawn on September 20. Visitors of all ages are invited to experience challenges faced by people with disabilities and reflect on what they can do to ensure equality and exclusivity for all. The event is all about empowering those with a disability and will also feature a pop-up cafe and staged performances, 1pm-4pm. Health & Wellbeing Expo 2019 Cairns Chamber of Commerce is hosting a health and wellbeing expo at The Pier Cairns on September 28 from 10am-3pm. Entry is free and the day will include kids activities, free health checks, a live cooking show and business stalls.
