Targa officials must act

-

FIRST of all I wish to advise that I am an avid follower of motorsport, but I am also not one to remain quiet when I see the reputation of motorsport left open to question.

I sat in front of the TV to watch the coverage of the Targa competition on the news but what comes up first … motorsport competitors in a transport stage with their sponsors’ names on them passing slow (?) vehicles over double lines.

Mention has been made of possible police and race team action and the remorse of the drivers.

But what I haven’t heard is what the Targa organisation is doing and will their actions be made public?

I also question the driver of the vehicle with the camera driving so close to the vehicle in front and not allowing any of the competitors to pass where legal.

If you drive by your rear-vision mirror(s), you would have seen multiple vehicles and could I suggest that you could have put your blinkers on, pulled off the road as much as possible, and allowed the following vehicles to pass on the correct side of the double lines.
