Restaurant a ‘rare find’

ONE of the oldest Middle Eastern restaurant­s in Cairns is on the market.

In a perfect location on the Cairns Esplanade, CBRE agent Karen Stabile said Ala Turka Traditiona­l Turkish Cuisine was “a rare find”.

The fully-licensed restaurant features a bar with a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits and seats 126 guests, with the potential for up to 150.

“The head chef at Ala Turka has more than 15 years’ experience in the kitchen with an indepth knowledge and understand­ing of spices, herbs and said.

“They have a great variety to offer to our local and overseas community.

“They are known for pleasant customer service, and authentic recipes with a wide variety of dishes to choose from.

“Fully equipped for on-site catering, the restaurant can serve up a meal to remember for birthdays, anniversar­ies, bachelor parties, other celebratio­ns or profession­al conference­s.

“All meats are 100 per cent Halal certified and most of the dishes can be tailored to meet different dietary requiremen­ts aromatics,” Ms Stabile such as gluten free and dairy free.”

A new lease will be offered to the new owners.

Ms Stabile said the business had a strong and positive presence on social media and on other online media, including a four-star rating on TripAdviso­r.

The sale includes well-serviced and maintained plant and equipment.

High numbers of foot traffic provide trade from both locals and holiday-makers, as well as the restaurant having a loyal long-term local customer base.

An office is located on the first floor and the property comes with a rear storage area.
