On the possibility of Australia playing the West Indies at Cazalys in early October here’s hoping Bob Manning and co get the deal done asap (preferably before the election) and we get to witness a decent game of cricket.

Greens rely on the “precautionary principle” to justify calling for the end of reliable electricity to “fight global warming”. The “novel” coronavirus (CP, 01/02) is a clear and genuine reason to close our borders on the basis of the precautionary principle and the risk to our population, but the open-borders Greens are silent. If the Greens didn’t have parttime principles they’d have no principles at all.

We need to redefine the use of two words. Every sportsperson is not a ‘hero’. Every person who appears on a reality program or wants fame through social media is not a ‘star’. In the great majority of cases they are simply people doing their job. Let’s get some clarity here. Our first responders, emergency services personnel and military are the ‘heroes’ and ‘stars’.

The LNP awarded 71% of sports grants to LNP marginal seats. 417 of these failed the assessment criteria! My club missed out, not on merit, but because our electorate was not marginal. This sports rort stinks!

Why did an American Lindsay Davenport be there for the presentation of Australian Open Women’s championship? What about Margaret or Evonne? Tennis Aus have completely lost it being politically correct. Another national sport admin, with no idea of the majority thoughts.

Well done to the best NBL team in Australia the Perth Wildcats. 34 years in a row in the finals, what a champion team.

Totally agree with the harsher penalties for phone use while driving. Having been the victim of a T-boning by a woman on her phone I applauded the tougher stance.
