The State Government is now “demanding” the Federal Government make private health insurance more affordable. Well I have a few demands of the State Government. A health, justice, juvenile justice and child welfare system that works, more police on our streets, a first world electrified rail network, and some cabinet members who know what they’re doing. How on earth did Queensland get to this state; one of total chaos? Time for the constituents of this state to demand prosecution of our “criminally” inept State Government.

Can Syria now start taking back its citizens since they have control of most of it? They can start building again.

Whoa. NZ is redirecting much of their superannuation savings to green schemes - which are all doomed to fail (CP, 02/03). There’s going to be some very angry retirees there soon.

Paul Murray (CP, 02/03) is right. Anthony Alboshorten has no idea of the price of “net zero by 2050”, but it’s already cost Labor one election.

Philip, (CP, 02/03). It was the mayoral candidates plus the mayor who raised this stupid idea and the mayor stated he was hesitant about the idea, so probably not raised by him.

On the possibility of Cairns getting the AFL game that was supposed to be in China. Hopefully the deal gets done and, whether a Queensland team is participating or not, hopefully the game is well supported.

Amusing to hear about the “safe care” advice given to travellers arriving in Australian airports. Are these not the same people arriving with stored and hidden fauna and flora in bags? Watching Border Control, I’m amazed at what people actually smuggle here after so much advice is given to them along the way. Self regulating? What a joke. Now might be the time to enforce behaviour such as covering mouth when sneezing and yawning. AT, Edge Hill
