THE State Government has not yet committed to a tourist levy, but that has not stopped Cairns MP Michael Healy from going out on a limb.

“I’m not sitting on the fence, I’m coming out now and saying I support it,” he said. “The industry has been pushing for this and I support those tourism operators.

“As we emerge from the COVID-19 crisis, now is the time to do it.”
