“Far North braces for weekend drenching” (CP, 22/05). It was nice that BOM got a very short-term weather prediction right for a change. Has anyone asked Professor Tim Flannery why his dire climate change prediction from 2007 about the rain we get not being enough to make our rivers run was so completely wrong? I thought that was “settled science”. Joanne, Manunda

A State Government with a 30 year antidams agenda, and now the voters of south east Queensland get to drink what they voted for, human effluent. Personally I’ve no issues with the use of recycled waste, great to see the Brisbane centric government and their green friends quite literally drinking s**t.

It’s heartening to see the volume of people asking the question. “Where was it made or where is it coming from” in the comments of people/businesses selling products and services online via Facebook. Well done! Keep asking and personally making the choice to consider what keeps jobs in Cairns and Aus #keepitincairns #Australiamade

Beth, Kanimbla, true. It is strange that the Premier has not given North Queensland much thought or constructive help for the six years she has been in charge. Seems she now wants to close us down altogether. She and her party have to leave the house!
