Race meet rescheduled

ATHERTON Turf Club’s washed-out non-Tab meeting on Saturday has been rescheduled to this weekend.

After heavy rain on Friday night and Saturday morning, QRIC stewards made the call to postpone the five-event program early Saturday.

The Tolga-based racetrack received about 20mm of rainfall in the 24 hours leading into Saturday, making the track unsuitable for racing.

A replacement meeting has been scheduled for Atherton this Saturday with the same racing program.

Fresh nominations are required – closing at 11am on Tuesday, with acceptances closing at 10am Thursday.
