We should go west
I AM confident that Darren Halpin would have preferred a combination residential/ resort/golf for Paradise Palms, however, that proved not financially viable.
The problem with the “corridor“city that Cairns is, we forsake our traditional farming and agricultural property either side of the Captain Cook and Bruce highways for housing development.
The “flat“land must be retained for agriculture. As Horace Greely is quoted as writing “Go west young man, go west“.
Just maybe it’s time we gazetted the Quaid road and indeed head west.
