How good to see the mullet haircut making a comeback (CP, 24/06).

Strange how some accept daily deaths and horrific injuries from road accidents and domestic violence as norm, if it doesn’t involve oneself of course. Allowing if some petty crime situation involves or impacts on them personally it’s like the system is broken and the blame game is in full flight. No one is spared. Politicians, police, government authorities the list goes on.

Why do unions (CP, 23/06) complain about jobs going overseas when it is the actions of unions that causes it? Unions refuse to give ground and it can be very bad for a business to employ unionists because of that intractability. The stronger the union the less productive the worker. Nobody to blame but themselves. Woz, Parramatta Park

Can someone, anyone please build another service station at Redlynch. Next to Cape York House would be good, anywhere opposite the shopping centre. Ronnie, Redlynch

Bouquets to the businesses that provide hand sanitiser and wipes at the entrance to their store. Brick bats to the customers who walk straight past, not practising good hygiene. Come on shoppers, please do the right thing for yourself and everyone.

Michael Healy’s “big” $100,000 announcement (CP, 24/06) is typical of what we get from the Brisbane Labor government. Brisbane gorges itself on extravagant feasts and Healy throws us the odd crumb. A vote for Labor is a vote against regional Queensland.

Peter Campion yet again cherry picking his facts. Why not take the average salary, not just the select few at the top? All those lucky to keep working are paying taxes that enable the government to help those in need. If everyone was sick, unemployed and earning five bucks an hour, a la good old US of A, you would still whinge. Right?

Re: Trump rally. While the kiddies on the Chinese government-owned Tik Tok pat themselves on the back for sabotaging Trump’s rally in Tulsa, they must realise they’ve opened up a huge can of worms. There is no doubt the tech nerds are planning revenge.

Re: Democrats buying tickets to leave empty seats just to try and embarrass President Trump. I certainly hope President Trump thanks them for their contribution at his next inauguration.
