A massive opportunity

NORTH Queensland is missing out on millions or billions of dollars by not declaring our region a prohibited area.

By closing down any influx of persons to the Mackay, Townsville and Cairns region any coronavirus should be able to be brought under control with extreme methods of control.

Once virus-free we become the greatest alternative for both our major sporting codes to play their seasons.

All they need do is go through the 14day quarantine period with the players and staff to be located to one of our cities. Being virus-free we could have crowds and the television audience worldwide would be billions as there is no other sport to watch. There is also the massive opportunity for Olympic athletes to train here. Tourist would be more than willing to do 14 to 21 days quarantine to come to a virus-free region.
