St Mary’s Catholic College is committed to ensuring all students are supported to achieve success as learners. The school has a proud history of academic success, and offers a broad range of subjects and career pathway opportunities, taught by skilled and dedicated professionals.

St Mary’s is excited to be launching a new gifted and talented program in 2021, providing tailored learning delivered by curriculum experts who are trained in gifted education.

Within this program, high-potential students are appropriately challenged and extended in an inclusive and supportive environment.

The college’s high-performing academic senior students are also given opportunities to excel in a diverse range of general subjects, in areas such as mathematics, science, English, humanities, the arts, languages, health and physical education and technologies.

As well as extensive academic opportunities, St Mary’s offers senior vocational education and training (VET) pathways, including in the construction, engineering, automotive and hospitality industries.

Experienced industry professionals deliver the VET courses on site and students can engage in some of these practical classes from Year 7.

In addition, work experience gives students a chance to engage in the workforce in an area of interest, such as dentistry, medicine, physiotherapy, electrical, science, vet science and construction.
