Good shooting conditions were enjoyed by shooters for our RF benchrest for score over 50m and 100yds. Results (score at 50m, score at 100yds and total score): 1. Jack, 250.06, 245.05, 495.11; 2. Next week’s competitio­n is a rimfire benchrest over 50m and 100 yds, with one 9am detail. Tuesday’s and Thursday’s social shoots start at 9am and 8.15am respective­ly.

MOSSMAN AND DISTRICT RIFLE CLUB

Six members shot double 600m on Saturday afternoon at the Mossman and District rifle range. Conditions were hot with a light breeze. F Class (scope) Division, 10/11 shot matches: Carl Read 51.4 - 56.1 Tot 107.6, Dave Williams 57.0 56.2 Tot 113.2, John Brentson 53.0 - 63.4 Tot 116.4, Wayne Walsh 58.4 - 65.6 Tot 123.10, Paul Teichert 60.4 - 65.7 Tot 125.11, Bill Kromwyk 60.5 - 66.9 Tot 126.14. Visitor Hank took some shots with good results. Next shoot will be Saturday. April 17, at 500m. The club welcomes any visitors and new members, shooting commences at 1.30 pm.

TABLELAND COMPANY OF ARCHERS

Eight members of the Tableland Company of Archers came together at club grounds today for a casual club shoot. Four members shot scoring rounds where others practiced while enjoying the guidance of our club coach George. Mareeba wind was moderate. A great day at the archery grounds overall. Launceston round (consists of 36 arrows at 50m and 30m each): Robert Hodgetts 649, Jeff Green 660, Ren Wachtler 618, Vittorio Falvo 637. There have been no new Archers onsite this weekend.
