-

MAREEBA United’s dominant victory in the 3rd Division Men’s Crad Evans game kickstarted the resurgence of the Far North as the annual battle between FNQ’s and NQ’s best clubs ended at five wins each.

The Bulls were the first team from FNQ to earn a victory against their rivals from Townsville, who dominated the junior divisions.

Townsville clubs won five of the first six games on Crad

Evans Day, with the Bulls’ crushing 5-0 win against Warriors the first victory for Far North clubs.

As Douglas Utd smashed Brothers on Field 3, Innisfail United added a Crad Evans title to their trophy cabinet courtesy of a nailbiting 1-0 win against MA Olympic.

Edge Hill United’s twin victories in the Premier Men’s and Women’s games ensured the spoils were shared at 5-5 for the second straight year.
