SCHOOL GOES RADIO GAGA

- SOPHIE DUDA AND MOLLY DUNSTAN, YEAR 3, OUR LADY HELP OF CHRISTIANS

ON THURSDAY, October 21, Dave and Inkie from Star 102.7 came to OLHOC to present their morning radio show.

Staff, students and parents started arriving at 7am.

If students came at 7am there were games they could play like badminton and mini bowling.

The P&F gave out fruit and muffins for all the kids.

Our principal, Mr Lucas Felstead, was interviewed about OLHOC.

Year 6 students Darcy Brien, Lacey Aylett and Georgia Allen each had a turn to read out the weather for the day. Inkie said they were amazing.

Dave and Inkie did the $1000 minute with year 6 teacher, Mrs Sam Symonds. She did pretty well because she got 9 out of 10.

Sam Holzhauser was another year 6 student who got to wear the microphone headset. He played a song on the saxophone.

Zara Symonds (year 6) was chosen to play “Are You Smarter than Inkie?” and Zara got all three questions correct. She won a family pass.

They also had another tent that had three teams of year 6 students in groups of three doing a trivia competition with Jabba.

They had to make up names for their teams. There were three rounds of questions.

The questions were all about things they had been learning in class this year.

The winning team cheered loudly – Pierce McDonnell, Grace Buckley and Lincoln Coate were very proud of scoring 26/26.
