CONCERT OF NOTE

PAIGE SEYMOUR, ANASTASIA BOYTON, HARPER TWOMEY, HUDSON CROXFORD, YEAR 3, OUR LADY HELP OF CHRISTIANS

-

ON FRIDAY, October 15, some students came from St Augustine’s College to do a concert in the hall at OLHOC to entertain us.

First, the St Monica’s and St Augustine’s choir sang two pieces of classical music. They sounded like angels.

A drama class performed a play for us, and everybody laughed because it was funny.

These high school students were dressed in black.

One of the students asked: “Do you want to do a drama pose?”

Then they picked who had the best Superman pose. It was a competition and there were prizes for whoever did the best superhero pose.

The winners got to go up the front of the hall and show off their pose. The winners were Harper Twomey (year 3), Seth Amorim (year 6) and Jackson Riddell (year 2).

Finally, the big band played Wiggles songs “Hot Potato” and “Big Red Car”.

Two boys sang into a microphone. They sounded just like the Wiggles.

Some of the instruments in the band were the trumpet, trombone and saxophone. The boy playing the bass guitar wore sunglasses.

The big band played rock and roll music that made the children want to dance to the song. It was very loud. OLHOC school loved the big band because we got to sing along and do the actions.
